2007 Competition Results
VicBrew
VicBrew was held at on 6th & 7th October 2007 at the Naval Association Hall, West Footscray and attracted 300 entries from 75 Club and "independent" brewers.
It was a great team performance from the Melbourne Brewers:
- Club Members achieved 14 placings across 11 Categories;
- 11 individual Members picked up trophies, spread between the "old hands" and newer Members;
- Chris Taylor took out the Champion Beer of Show (highest scoring beer) with his Baltic Porter (131 points) and was runner-up Champion Brewer;
- Melbourne Brewers shared the Scott Vernon Perpetual Trophy for Best Exhibited Club with 13 entrants
- Melbourne Brewers took out the Best Club of Show trophy with 27 points (Awarded 3 points for a 1st placings, 2 points for a 2nd, 1 point for a 3rd ).
Also 9 Members were involved in judging at VicBrew...a significant increase over previous years and more than any other Club.
